1941 Christmas presents

I had brought with me my dearest toys when I came to Finland, and that's where I left them when I returned to Sweden. So, I and Aarne fled from the war a second time. The aeroplanes disturbed the run of our train. Having crossed the Swedish border I was asked to act as an interpreter for a small boy. The boy would not take off his coat, as his mother had instructed him to keep it on in case there would be an enemy attack. I managed to persuade the boy to understand that there was nothing to worry about any more. Having taken off his clothes, the boy fell asleep and a member of the women's auxiliary services burst into tears when I told her what his resistance had been all about.
