My life can be divided conveniently into ten-year periods. I have told you about its first decade starting in 1931 in My Vyborg. The 1940's contained my school years in Oulu. There was a lot I did in the next decade, the 50's. Art studies in Helsinki and Paris, my first exhibitions, public works of art and the Merikoski Club. The 60's were the times of abstract experimentation, the Pohjoinen cultural journal and early TV work. The 70's and 80's I spent making TV films, while the 90's are covered in the 100 Pictures of Oulu. |
