1997 Suvi, 47x35 cm, oils

I need to include Suvi in this series, although I painted her a few years ago in 1997. She is the youngest of our grandchildren and in that way the most important one. Besides, we get along very well with each other, Suvi, Airi and me. This is one of the first school years for Suvi. She plays the flute and she, too, is a good drawer. We always have time for Suvi. She does have her own hobbies and friends, but she also remembers us. We discuss important things such as time. Time is a strange concept. Everyone seems to have a lack of time. You can best see how time goes by looking at a clock or calendar. I have plenty of time. It is also strange that the fewer years I have left, the more time I have. I am only pleased when time seems to drag when I'm sometimes awake in the small hours.
