I was born in Vyborg on February 6, 1931. I and my mother visited the ruins of our home during the truce in 1944. There was a patch of oil on the cobbles in Sotilaskatu 6. My father used to keep his car right there. That was all that was left of our life in Vyborg. I wanted to find out how I would experience my birth town after half a century.
