View from Patterimäki ("Battery Hill") in 1991

I was now watching Vyborg opening at my feet from Patterimäki. I was going to find out what was left of me in these playgrounds. I had been living as a refugee among refugees ever since I was eight. I know what it feels like. My parents - especially my mother - never recovered from the shock. Expulsion is one of the cruelest punishments that one can face. In addition to the property, one is bereaved of one's mind and language.
