Repola Primary School

I started school in Repola Primary School under the stern guidance of teacher Ylihannu. The Myllymäki square was also lined by a girls' school, the Finnish secondary school and the main fire station. There were lots of schools in Vyborg. The oldest Swedish girls' school in the Nordic countries started there. Even the gypsies had a school of their own. I did not know that Vladimir Ilyich Lenin himself had been living in a house on my way to school when he had been in exile. For that matter, I would not really even have understood what kind of a man he was.
