Xon
– autumn holiday sports event
The Centre of Youth Affairs and Sports and Recreation Office
organise the Xon sports event during the autumn school
holiday. It provides children and young people with a
variety of different sports and exercise opportunities and
allows them to try out different sports and hobbies.
Participation is free.
Nakrock – the best bands
Well-known Finnish and talented local bands take to the
stage at the annual Nakrock concert organised by the Centre
of Youth Affairs. The concert is free with no age limit. No
alcohol or drugs are allowed. Nakrock is usually organised
during early autumn to coincide with the Oulu Festival.
Back-to-School and School’s Out parties
Every year, the Centre of Youth Affairs organises
Back-to-School events in August and School’s Out events in
May–June for children and young people. All events are
alcohol and drug free.
