Lending and returning
Library Card
Do you have a library card? You need to fill in a registration form in the
library and if you are under 15 years old, your parent or guardian has to sign
it. You will be asked to prove your identity. Your first library card is free of
charge. If you lose the card, please, call the library immediately. The card
will be cancelled for free but a replacement costs 2 euros. With the card you
can borrow books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, or other material from the central or
local library, or the library van. Your library card is personal and you are
responsible for the card and any material borrowed with it. Loans can be renewed
via Intro web library (ask for a password at the library), by phone or visiting
the library in person.
Damaged items
Books can get stained easily and be damaged by moisture. Please, take your books
home in a bag or rucksack and keep them on a shelf, out of the reach of your
pets and young brothers and sisters. Dinner table is not the place for reading.
Don’t give items you have borrowed from the library to your friends.
Sometimes a book, CD, or some other item is returned to the library so badly
damaged that it has to be removed from the collection. In such a case you may
have to replace the damaged copy or pay its purchase price.
