The Collection

You can propose an acquisition of items that the library does not have. However, check Intro web library first.

When acquiring items the library observes selection policy.

The material providers are selected as a result of a competitive bidding. When purchasing books and ordering magazines and newspapers, the City of Oulu co-operates with neighbouring municipalities.

At the moment, the most important material providers are Kirjavälitys Oy (books), Musiikki-Kullas (cds) and Lehtimarket Oy (magazines and newspapers). Material with limited circulation as well as privately published items can be offered to the library by e-mail tilaukset.kirjasto(at)ouka.fi
