Interlibrary Service

If an item is not available in Oulu libraries, you can submit a request for an interlibrary loan. If the item is not available in Finnish libraries, it can be requested as an interlibrary loan from abroad. Interlibrary lending is an activity taking place between libraries and subject to rules and regulations agreed upon by research libraries and public libraries. You can have a total of 20 valid interlibrary loans at a time.

Interlibrary loan requests are submitted at the Information Services (2nd floor) in the central library:

Please pick up and return your interlibrary loans to the lending desk on the 2nd floor.

Interlibrary renewals, however, are made at the Information Services.

Oulu City Library – Regional Central Library charges a delivery fee of 1,00 €/loan plus the fee charged by the owning library. The delivery fee for a distance loan is 2 euros.

If you live in other location, you can submit interlibrary requests in your local library.
