Both a textile and object conservator work in the Northern Ostrobothnia Museum. A conservator is a special expert, who is responsible for preserving and taking care of cultural possessions.

PROVINCIAL MUSEUM WORK

A provincial museum researcher is responsible for the guidance and advising of local museums in the area. The provincial museum researcher works as an expert and statement-providing person in question related to local museums, controls their central filing and is responsible for travelling exhibition operation.

The building researchers of the museum are responsible for expertise tasks related to provincial, master and town planning, among others. In addition, they are responsible for giving advice on the renovation of valuable objects as to the history of civilisation, follow the work and participate in the inventory and research of the cultural environment.
